NO PAYMENT OF DEPARTMENTAL DUES, NO SUBMISSION OF LIN306: (TRANSITION THEORIES) ASSIGNMENT IN THE DEPARTMENT OF LANGUAGES AND LINGUISTICS

BSU space media Team writes to bring to attention of the public the conspiracy in the department of Languages and Linguistics, faculty of Arts by the departmental president and Lecturer taking Lin306, (Transition Theories) who double as the departmental Examination officer, gave an assignment to 300 level students to be submitted on Wednesday 22nd January, 2020 only upon display of departmental dues receipt.

The students of the department who reported this on anonymous ground, told the team that the lecturer in question is doing this for the second time which is against the school rules and regulations as students are NOT be compelled to pay departmental dues in order to take their exams, tests or assignments.

Just to remind that last semester a circular was issued that all Union leaders should not collect dues from students to enable them pay their school charges.

Now, worth of consideration is the fact that most students in question are still hustling their way out to get/complete their monies so as to pay their school fees.

The Space Media Team is strongly against this act and is calling on the school management through the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Prof. Omudu to as a matter of urgency look into the issue at hand.
