 2018 NPower Recruitment Application Portal REOPENED – Our attention has been drawn to false and fraudulent reports circulating especially in the Social Media that new N-Power applications are now being received on the N-Power portal.

The NPower Volunteer Network is Federal Government’s fulfillment of its promise to eradicate unemployment and poverty.

How applicants were selected for the 2017/2018 NPower Job Recruitment:

Selection was done in a fair and transparent manner. Selection was based on 40% of all the applications received from each state. Applicants were assessed on their basic knowledge of English, general knowledge, quantitative reasoning, as well as other agriculture-specific questions.

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) also apportioned about 7,000 of those selected across each states to promote self sufficiency targets in the agriculture value chain. Other factors that were taken into consideration include gender and disability.

Why some states were selected more than others:

40% of all applicants were selected in all the states for the N-Power Teach, Community and Agro programmes. While under the N-Power Agro programme, 50% of the applicants were selected in all states. Also, north-eastern states and states that had low numbers were given special consideration.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has designed the N-Power Programme to drastically reduce youth unemployment. The focus is to provide our young graduates and non-graduates with the skills, tools and livelihood to enable them advance from unemployment to employment, entrepreneurship and innovation.

The first phase of N-Power will target Nigeria’s critical needs in education, agriculture, technology, creative, construction and artisanal industries.

N-Power is also preparing Nigeria for a global outsourcing push where our young Nigerians can export their services to work on global projects that earn Nigeria foreign exchange.

The N-Power Volunteer Corps will engage and train 300,000 young unemployed graduates. It is a paid volunteering programme of a 2-year duration.

The 300,000 graduates under the 2018 NPower Recruitment programme will get computing devices that contain information necessary for their specific engagement, as well as information for their continuous training and development.

Participants will provide teaching, instructional, and advisory solutions in 4 key areas.
